Sierra Bridge in partnership with DM Wills Associates Ltd.  were tasked to design, fabricate and install a custom single span bridge over Big Creek as well as road reconstruction with profile increase to meet the criteria set out in the tender documents. Deliverables also included for preparation of documents and permit applications with all jurisdictions having authority such as Conservation Authority, DFO, MECP and several indigenous groups.

Following removal of the existing structure, the new bridge structure fabricated by Algonquin Bridge was launched on roller system with crane assist and rested on steel abutments. Creative engineering and thinking was necessary in a challenging environmental setting and flood plain.
